Today’s post goes out to the visionary behind the revolutionary car company, Tesla: Elon Musk
“I think life on Earth must be about more than just solving problems… It’s got to be something inspiring, even if it is vicarious.” – Elon Musk
What inspired you to take the leap and start your business? Was it something that you are passionate about? Or did you identify a niche market that needed to be represented? Perhaps you created something that could solve problems.
Whatever the reason, it’s not enough that it solved a problem or filled a hole. If you want to make an impression on your audience, you must inspire. You can inspire through design and through your ingenuity.
Look at Elon Musk’s Tesla. Not only did it satisfy a niche group of environmentally conscious millennials and upper crust environment supporters, but it did it with sophisticated style both inside and out. Now, look at other famous brands. Windows inspired generations with its ability to give everyone knowledge at their fingertips, changing the world forever. Wonder Woman inspired girls to be superheroes.
Even the United States of America when it was first conceived marketed itself on the ideal image of a country where every person can have the freedom to make their own destiny without being hampered by societal tyranny. Why do you think so many people still immigrate to the United States to pursue the American Dream? It’s because that is how we advertised ourselves
So, turn your company into the new Tesla or American Dream. Create something that will not only make life easier but create an inspired life for your audience.
